Outside Group - 54 Miles to Home: A Documentary In-Person
Claire Haughey will be screening her documentary film "54 Miles To Home". This documentary is the untold stories of the black farmers who risked their lives and homes to provide refuge to the civil rights marchers from Selma to Montgomery in 1965.
Claire recently graduated from Stanford University with an MFA in Documentary Film and is a film director and cinematographer focused on collective story-telling, historical and environmental preservation, and re-engaging missing or obstructed archives. Her films have been showcased at DOC NYC, Big Sky Documentary Film Festival, Sidewalk Film Festival and more. She was an Associate Producer and Cinematographer on the HBO film A REVOLUTION ON CANVAS.
One of the things Claire is currently working on, is to turn this documentary into a feature-length film.
We hope you can attend. Participation is free.
